What it takes to submit
Seven projects go live each week. Six come through the rank route, and one is the contest, which has no requirement at all.
Submission status
Not a member yet
Route one: rank
Two marks, one on each ladder. Both are about the project's team, so a founder with ranked Forge members alongside them qualifies on their standing too.
Contribution ladder
At least 1 × Reviewer 4, or 2 × Reviewer 3
Reviewer 4 is 7,000 EXP. It means you have given a serious amount of feedback to other people before asking for any yourself.
Chat ladder
2 × Elite, or 1 × Champion
Champion is 50,000. It means you have actually been in the community, not just passing through to drop a link.
One higher rank or two lower ones, the same shape on both ladders. Requirements may be lowered early on while Forge is small.
Route two: the weekly contest
No rank requirement at all. One slot, every week, permanently. It exists so that a good project from someone who joined yesterday still has a door.
- MondayEntries open. Each one is a private thread: only you and staff can see it.
- WednesdaySubmissions close. Three days open.
- Friday or SaturdayResults out.
- SundayThe winner is featured.
That is 52 handpicked projects a year, and a door open to newcomers every single week rather than only at launch.
What you agree to
Qualifying is one half. These are the terms a promoted project accepts, and they are the reason Forge can prove it did anything.
- Verified with a Google account.
- Share the current state of the product: verified users, and the rest of the numbers.
- Share those numbers again at two weeks and at one month.
- No instant release. Promotion is scheduled for a fixed day the following week.
- A bug-only pass first, run by Forge Works before release day.
- All bugs fixed in time, by severity. Failing without a valid reason can get a project blacklisted from promoting again.
- Take the feedback seriously and act on it.
And what Forge owes you
- Help triaging bugs if your team is small.
- A permanent place in the public archive.
- A response to any ticket within 24 hours.
- The AI digest, sorting a week of feedback into what to fix first.
Nothing is charged for. Not promotion, not testing, not priority. Forge is a community, not a promotion channel.
